Free as in Education. Significance of the Free/Libre and Open Source Software for Developing Countries

This is a report on free/libre and open source software used in development co-operation and the prospects open source software can have for developing countries and on western technological development. The report examines open source software in general, and analyses contributing and obstructing factors to its expansion.
