Finnish Development NGOs – Fingo is an NGO platform and an expert on global development. Fingo and its member organisations work to make life better – for everyone. The Bridge 47 project mobilises global civil society to contribute to global justice and eradication of poverty through global citizenship education.
Fingo is now looking to recruit a trainee to the Bridge 47 team, to assist with the communications and events of the project. The trainee will work for 37,5 hours a week for a 6-month period, starting from mid-February 2020.
In this position, you will be assisting the Bridge 47 team in producing and proofreading content for the Bridge 47 website, social media and newsletter. You will also support us in organising a large Bridge 47 event in the spring, taking place outside of Europe, including administrative tasks and communication with participants. As a trainee, you will also be asked to assist with various administrative and other practical tasks.
To excel in this position, you need excellent written and oral communication skills in English, and some experience from communications and organising events. We are looking for a reliable team player who is able to multi-task and adapt to changing circumstances. You are currently enrolled in studies in a relevant field, such as development studies, education or social sciences. We expect you to understand and commit to the values of Global Citizenship Education.
We appreciate motivation and positive attitude, ability to work in a multicultural context and strong IT skills, including familiarity with Office 365 and an interest in graphic design.

Only students currently enrolled in an institute of higher education can be considered for this trainee position. The position is remunerated, and the trainee will work 37,5 hours a week. The position is based in Vallila, in Helsinki.
