The event was facilitated by Rudradeb Mitra. Mitra started his career as an AI researcher/engineer in 2002 and worked with research labs, universities, and startups to build AI products. After graduating from the University of Cambridge, he entered the startup world and built various startups. In 2018 he also wrote his first book titled “Creating Value With Artificial Intelligence”. In May 2019 he founded Omdena – a platform democratizing AI globally, which has given opportunities to over 1 550 AI engineers and enthusiasts from 84 countries to date.
Omdena is a collaborative platform to build innovative, ethical, and efficient AI solutions to real-world problems. Organizations like UNHCR, World Resource Institute, World Energy Council, World Food Programme as well as startups and businesses from around the world, have hosted Omdena projects for building AI solutions to solve issues with land conflicts, gang violence, hunger, climate change, sexual assault and other significant problems.
