World Village Festival

Fingo’s World Village Festival is Finland’s leading event for global action for the whole family, an admission-free cultural festival, a food carnival and a trade fair for sustainable development. The World Village showcases global challenges and solutions, increases people’s understanding and provides concrete ways to take action to create change. The World Village brings people together, because only together we can change the world.

With Courage as its theme, next year’s World Village Festival takes place during the last weekend of May (25–26 May 2024) in Suvilahti, Helsinki. The festival will feature around 75 programme items from music to talks and discussions, films, kids’ programme, art, workshops, and street art performances.

In addition to previously announced Dub FX feat Mr. Woodnote and Hassan Maikal, taking the music stage will be Las Karamba and Puerto Candelaria with their Latin sounds, Tunisian Emel with her politically aware and artful music, as well as Antti Autio, Maija Kauhanen, Don Johnson Big Band and Children’s concert Indaba from Finland.

Talks and discussions will bring you dozens of perspectives on courage to make the world more sustainable and just. Burning topics such as wars, crises, climate change, human rights and status of minorities are approached in line with this year’s festival theme through the voices of people taking courageous action in different parts of the world.

Join! Act! Change!
