World Village Festival

Fingo’s World Village Festival is Finland’s leading event for global action for the whole family, an admission-free cultural festival, a food carnival and a trade fair for sustainable development. The World Village showcases global challenges and solutions, increases people’s understanding and provides concrete ways to take action to create change. The World Village brings people together, because only together we can change the world.

The next festival will be held 24.–25.5.2025.

Music programme has been published! The Music Stage will feature Brazilian Majur, Chilean-French Ana Tijoux and Sudanese Ebo Krdum, Palestinian DAM, Syrian-French Sarab, Grande Mahogany, Isaac Sene, Skidit-disko and a theme concert Sound of Peace featuring Elsi Sloan, Samuli Putro, Emma & Matilda, Nemat Battah, Ramy Essam and Vimma among others. The proceeds from the fundraising organised with the concert will be donated to peace organisations.

Two of the 24 Speaker’s Stage discussions will feature, for example, Malian musician, filmmaker and UN Goodwill Ambassador Inna Modja, MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen (EPP, NCP) and EU Youth Delegate Eetu Leinonen, MP and experienced peacebuilder Pekka Haavisto, Adina Nivukoski, Finland’s UN Youth Delegate, and Laura Hendry, an expert from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Centre for Peace Mediation.

In addition to music, talks and discussions, World Village Festival offers a wide range of things to see, experience and think about: art, sports, dance, terrace party and Kids’ Corner with a range of workshops and activities, 40 street food kitchens and 160 exhibitors. See the whole programme.
