Fingo’s Safer Space Guidelines

Fingo’s events and gatherings follow the guidelines for the principles of a safer space. The aim of these guidelines is to ensure an equal and welcoming experience for everyone participating in the event. Creating a safe space is the responsibility of all of us. If you notice violations of the principles, bring it up directly, by informing the event organizer or by email at koulutus@fingo.fi. Thank you for committing to these principles and helping us create a safer space.

Principles in brief:

  • We recognize our prejudices and strive to treat everyone equally. We do not emphasize background, make assumptions, or generalize our own experiences. We acknowledge our own privileges and positions of power, using them responsibly.
  • We respect individuality and diversity: We allow space for everyone to express themselves and respect their boundaries. We do not make assumptions or emphasize personal characteristics, but treat everyone equally and respectfully.
  • We give space and listen: Everyone has the right to decide what they want to share, and we strive to listen respectfully.
  • We continuously learn and encourage each other: We accept mistakes and aim to learn from them openly and encouragingly.
