World Village Festival attracts 45,000 festivalgoers – Successful event in brilliant summer weather

Held for the second time in Suvilahti, Helsinki, World Village Festival was attended by 20,000 people on Saturday and 24,000 on Sunday, with programme from the Speaker’s Stage viewed online by 1,000 people. Festivalgoers were provided with memorable music, inspiring talks and discussions, vegetarian food from around the world, many kinds of other programme and hundreds of exhibitor stands. The festival theme – Courage – could be seen and heard everywhere.

World Village Festival starts tomorrow – courage as a theme

A fabulous festival summer kicks off this weekend (25–26 May) with World Village Festival in Suvilahti, Helsinki. First programme releases: Dub FX, Hassan Maikal, Eva Biaudet

A free-admission World Village Festival will be organised in Suvilahti, Helsinki, in the last weekend of May (25–26 May 2024). The programme line-up includes Dub FX feat. Mr. Woodnote, Hassan Maikal and Finnish MP Eva Biaudet (Swedish People’s Party in Finland). The festival has an even stronger focus on sustainable and responsible solutions. Going forward, the festival food vendors will only be serving vegetarian food. With last year’s festival attracting 50,000 people, the theme for the 2024 World Village Festival is Courage.

World Village Festival drew in 49,000 visitors – spotlight on influencing for a better world for everyone

World Village Festival attracted a crowd of 27,000 on Saturday and 22,000 on Sunday to Suvilahti, Helsinki. Organised for the first time at the Suvilahti site, the civic influence festival was a great success and boasted a sunny and laid-back atmosphere. This year’s theme – Force for Change! – was seen and heard throughout the programme and in encounters with the exhibitors, performers and festivalgoers.
